In the market a product with the characteristics of this antenna was needed. The MST 55 NT is the ideal compromise between the 45 cm antennas that have limited coverage and the 65 cm antennas that offer a coverage of nearly all of Europe but their size is to big for vessels below 20 meters in length. In a radome with a diameter of only 58 cm this antenna assures a wide coverage. The satellite tracked are: Hot Bird 13°E, Astra 19°E, Astra 28° E, Telecom 5° W, Telecom 8° W, Eutelsat 16° E, Eutelsat 10° E, Hispasat 30° W. Up to 10 satellite receivers either analogic or digital can be connected to the antenna where any channel available in the selected satellite can be viewed. The antenna is recommended for vessels between 8 and 18 meters in lenght where there is limited space. For larger size vessels we recommend our MST 65 NT and MST 95 NT models.

The EUTELSAT and ASTRA programme for accessing Internet is already a reality. The satellite certainly represents the ideal means for communicating through Internet, the only system able to fully take advantage of features and potential of this extraordinary global information instrument. You can now download images and data at a speed of 2MB per second (October 2000). In addition to the PC, you need an Internet card that transforms your PC into a digital TV Sat so it can also receive all of the satellite’s television programmes.
